Special discussion program on the book "herstory" written by Neha Bansal, IAS

Delhi Public Library, Central Library organized a special discussion program on the book "herstory" written by Neha Bansal, IAS, in the Gitanjali Auditorium premises under the direction of Dr. RK Sharma, Director General, Delhi Public Library. In his welcome address, he said that organizing such programs is a new positive beginning of Delhi Public Library which will give a new direction to the readers of the library. Neha Bansal, the author of the book, said that her book is such a collection of poems reflecting the spirit of women, and uncovers their pain that had become an untold story and shakes the human heart and the pain of such women from the mythological period. It uncovers whose pain had become an untold story Writer Neha Bansal has presented the considerable pain and its feeling in the public mind and successfully tried to deliver the message by presenting the mental anguish that was faced by historical and mythological female characters like Mandodari, Urmila, Ahilya, Yashoda, Shurpanakha, Hidamba, Draupadi and modern contemporary women like Nirbhaya. Throwing light on the book, Brajesh Varman, a retired IPS officer, said that the expressions in the book really enchants the reader, for which by reading a poem from the book, Yashoda, while conveying the feelings related to her, praised the author's effort with a free voice. Vikas Kumar Jha, Bureau Chief, Maya and Outlook Magazine, said that History has the word "his" and the title of the author's book is "herstory" which literally has given a new word to the English dictionary, and takes women to the top. He said that reading Neha Bansal's book reminds me of the poems of well-known Chhayavadi poet Mahadevi Verma and Dogri poet Padma Sachdev, which points towards Neha Bansal's effort to achieve high quality poetry. IPS officer, Deepak Yadav, who is Neha Bansal's husband and the first reader of the book, is a very famous and hard working officer of Delhi Police, Deputy Commissioner Delhi Police, while speaking in a very interesting way, said that Neha Bansal is an agitator. On this matter, he is proud as she is a brave warrior of the movement in the field of women's respect. Dr. RK Sharma, Director General of Delhi Public Library himself on one hand organised an efficient stage for the program, showed his interest in literature and also called for the respect and faith towards women. Urmila Rautela, Assistant Librarian in the program and the information officer had a special role in the program. In the end, KS Raju Library and Information Officer expressed his gratitude to everyone.
