Rural economy transforming", says PM Modi as India becomes number one in Digital Payments
National Civil Service Day is observed on April 21 in India in order to recognise and commemorate the crucial role that public servants play in the development and improvement of the country. This day provides an opportunity to show appreciation for the achievements that civil officials have contributed to society. To motivate government employees to keep up their efforts towards providing the public with competent service, the prime minister distributes prizes of excellence on this occasion.
While addressing the assembly today PM Modi said that India is leading the world in digital payments and also claimed that the rural economy of the nation is changing.
Speaking at Civil Services Day in this capital city, he asserted, India is the leader in digital payments and is one of the nations where mobile data is most affordable.
According to PM Modi, this year's "Civil Service Day," is particularly significant because it coincides with the nation's 75th anniversary of independence. According to him, the nation has started moving quickly to accomplish the enormous goals set for the next 25 years.
He claimed that the last-mile delivery is the decisive factor, regardless of how fantastic our yojanas are or how good they appear on paper.
The nation is being set up for a significant jump by the public workers. They have accelerated India's development and given the underprivileged hope for effective governance, according to PM Modi. He praised the government officials' efforts, saying that without them, it would not have been possible for the country to advance over the past nine years.
As per NDTV reported, he said that, "In the last 9 years, if even the poorest of the poor of the country has got the confidence of good governance, then your hard work has also been there in this. If India's development has gained new momentum in the last 9 years, it was also not possible without your participation. Despite the Covid crisis, today India is the fifth largest economy in the world."
"The government is working with the vision to serve everyone by efficiently using their time and resources. Our mantra continues to be the nation first, citizen first," he added.
