Kejriwal to Step Down: Atishi Set to Become Delhi's New Chief Minister

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will resign from his post today, Monday (September 17). Kejriwal started the meeting of the legislative party at the Chief Minister's residence at 11:30 am. Atishi's name has been proposed in the presence of Kejriwal. It is believed that all the MLAs have agreed on Atishi's name.

Atishi will be made the new CM of Delhi. The new Chief Minister will be announced by AAP shortly. Atishi currently has the charge of more than 45 important departments of Delhi. She is the minister of important departments like Education and Finance. Let us tell you that Kejriwal will meet Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena at 4:30 pm and submit his resignation.

The assembly session of the Delhi Assembly has been called on 26 and 27 September. The swearing-in of the Chief Minister of Delhi can be completed before this assembly session. The Speaker of the Delhi Assembly has confirmed the calling of the assembly session.
