New Delhi, February 29:In a significant move ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on a crucial two-day visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar on the 1st and 2nd of March 2024. The visit is expected to have far-reaching political implications, especially in Bihar, where recent political developments have heightened the significance of the state in the electoral landscape.

Bihar holds the distinction of having the second-largest number of Lok Sabha seats, making it a battleground state that every political party aims to conquer. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has left no stone unturned in its efforts to secure victories on maximum seats, and the Prime Minister's visit underscores the strategic importance of the state in the party's electoral calculus.

On the 1st of March, Prime Minister Modi will kickstart his tour in Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, where he is scheduled to participate in a public program. The projects span across crucial sectors such as fertilizers, rail, power, and coal.

In Bihar, the Prime Minister's visit will be particularly focused on the development narrative. In Aurangabad, he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for projects exceeding Rs 21,400 crore, with a significant emphasis on strengthening the National Highways network in the state. Several National Highway projects, amounting to over Rs 18,100 crores, are expected to be inaugurated and initiated during this visit.

The public function in Begusarai, Bihar, is poised to witness a substantial boost to the energy sector in the country. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple oil and gas projects collectively worth about Rs 1.48 lakh crore. These projects, spread across various states, including Bihar, are set to play a pivotal role in ensuring energy security.

One of the key highlights in Bihar is the inauguration of the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) fertiliser plant in Barauni. Developed at a cost exceeding Rs 9500 crore, this plant is expected to provide affordable urea to farmers, contributing to increased productivity and financial stability. This initiative aligns with the government's focus on agriculture and rural development.

With the Lok Sabha polls looming, Prime Minister Modi's visit to Bihar takes on added significance. As the state becomes a key battleground, the Prime Minister's focus on development projects and key sectors reinforces the BJP's commitment to the welfare and progress of the people. The political landscape in Bihar is undoubtedly set for a dynamic shift in the wake of this high-profile visit, setting the stage for a fiercely contested electoral battle in the state.
