Why Is Atishi Unhappy Even After Becoming the Chief Minister?

The command of Delhi will now be in the hands of Aam Aadmi Party's Kalkaji Assembly seat MLA Atishi Marlena. With the finalization of Atishi's name, she will become the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. But the firemen are not happy on this occasion. Their minds are sad. The Legislative Party meeting at the Chief Minister's residence has decided to make Atishi the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Her name was unanimously sealed in the Legislative Party meeting. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai made the announcement. Rai said that Atishi is being given the responsibility of the post of Delhi CM till the next elections. All the MLAs have unanimously taken this decision.

Addressing the media after the Aam Aadmi Party Legislative Party meeting, Atishi said, “Kejriwal trusted me. I was made an MLA. I was made a minister. And today he has been given the responsibility of becoming the Chief Minister. I am happy that Kejriwal has placed so much trust in me. But as happy as I am today, I am more sad. Sad because my elder brother Arvind Kejriwal, the popular Chief Minister of Delhi, is resigning today. I would like to say today that there is only one Chief Minister of Delhi. And that Chief Minister's name is Arvind Kejriwal.”

Atishi attacked the BJP for conspiring against Kejriwal for the last two years. “False cases of corruption were filed against an honest man who quit his job as IRS commissioner and formed a new party and won the election. He was imprisoned for six months. Eventually, the Supreme Court granted him bail. The Supreme Court has slapped the Center in the face by granting bail,” she said.

As for Atish's political career, she first stepped into politics during the anti-corruption movement. She has served as an advisor to Delhi Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia from 2015 to The fierce AAP leader is also a member of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC). Atish had also tried her luck in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections but was defeated by Gautam Gambhir.
