‘We don't want EVM’: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Demands Return to Ballot Paper Voting System
Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing people in the 'Samvidhan Rakshak Abhiyaan' function at Talkatora stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, has questioned the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and demanded elections through ballot paper. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that what I am trying to say is also accepted by our opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. Whatever effort SC-ST, OBC, poor people and people of small communities are putting in to cast their votes, those votes are going to waste. We don't want EVMs. Voting should be done through ballot paper.

Let them keep those machines in their house, PM Modi's house or Amit Shah's house. There are many warehouses in Ahmedabad, let them take them there and keep them. Let us vote on the ballot paper. Taking a jibe at the BJP, he said that at that time you will know what your condition is. Where are you standing, at that time you will know.
He further said that we should start a campaign on behalf of our party. All people should say, we will tell all parties and just like Bharat Jodo Yatra was carried out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, we will run a nationwide campaign for elections with ballot paper.
Let us tell you that earlier, former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijay Singh had raised questions on EVMs. He had said that by looking at the election results of Maharashtra, it can be assumed that what BJP wanted has happened.
Digvijay Singh said in a post on social media platform X, "Whatever BJP wanted, the same election results have come out in Maharashtra. BJP had fielded 148 candidates in Maharashtra, out of which 132 candidates have won the elections. In such a situation, the government can be formed without Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena (Shinde)."
He also raised questions about EVMs. He said that this election has been won by manipulating EVMs.
