V. Srinivas's Meeting with Bihar's Senior Officials: Appreciating Bihar Government's Efforts in Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance Redressal

On January 3rd, Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, participated in crucial meetings and inspection tours with senior officials of the Bihar Government. During the visit, he reviewed the status of implementation of the 'Bihar Right to Public Grievances Redressal Act' and 'Bihar Right to Public Services Act' in the State of Bihar.
Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, participated in important meetings and visits with senior officials of the Government of Bihar on 3rd January. During the visit, he focused particularly on the effective implementation of the Bihar Right to Public Grievances Redressal Act and Bihar Right to Public Services Act in the State of Bihar. He was accompanied by other senior officials of the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, including Shri Punit Yadav, Additional Secretary, Smt. Sarita Chauhan, Joint Secretary, Shri Subhashish Das, Director and Shri H.K. Bhatt, Deputy Secretary.
Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare, Government of India, participated in important meetings and visits with senior officials of the Government of Bihar on January 3. During this, he focused on obtaining information about the implementation of Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act and Bihar Right to Public Services Act in Bihar. Other officials of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India were also present during the visit, namely, Shri Puneet Yadav, Additional Secretary, Mrs. Sarita Chauhan, Joint Secretary, Shri Subhashish Das, Director and Shri H. K. Bhatt, Deputy Secretary.
On behalf of the State Government, Dr. B. Rajender, Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department, Dr. Pratima, Additional Mission Director, Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society and other senior officials were also present in the meeting held in the meeting hall of Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society, Patna. In these meetings, the implementation of Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act and Right to Public Services Act was discussed. He reviewed the process of providing timely services and justice to the citizens under these Acts and was informed about the innovations being done by the Government of India in this direction. Shri V. Srinivas informed that Bihar is the only state where an Act for grievance redressal is being made and implemented. This is a good practice which can be adopted by other states.
After that, the high level team visited the State Public Grievance Receipt Centre located at Suchna Bhawan, Patna and got information about the management of the complaints received online with the help of Information Technology.
After this, the high level team participated in the hearing process being done by the District Public Grievance Redressal Officer of Collectorate Patna and observed the entire system directly.
Shri V. Srinivas appreciated the efforts of the Government of Bihar in smoothly implementing administrative reforms.
After this, the high level team also held a meeting with Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Chief Secretary and met Shri Samrat Choudhary, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister and Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister and informed them about the information received during the tour.
