Two-Day 'Manasun Baithak' Inaugurated in Bhubaneswar to Foster Dialogue on Animal Husbandry and Dairying Initiatives

The two-day 'Manasun Baithak' was inaugurated on 13th September, 2024 at the Convention Centre of Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, under the chairmanship of Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh, Hon'ble Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Panchayati Raj, to facilitate dialogue between the Centre, States and Union Territories for effective implementation in Animal Husbandry and Dairying.

In the program, on Purnia Semen Station being classified as "A Grade Semen Station" by the Government of India, Principal Secretary of Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Bihar, Dr. N. Vijayalakshmi was given a certificate and memento by Hon'ble Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha. Hon'ble Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Bihar, Mrs. Renu Devi was also present on this occasion.

Purnia Semen Station is the first modern semen production center of the state which has a very modern bull shed, semen processing laboratory, quality control department and fodder production units. The seine station at Purnia was set up with the assistance of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and was completed in record time. Presently it is being successfully operated. Now it is an ‘A’ category seine station.

The objective of the ‘Monsoon Baithak’ is to bring out the expectations of the Centre, States and Union Territories to form a convergence framework for effective programme implementation at the ground level. The progress of the schemes was reviewed and results and improvements were discussed.

Animal Husbandry Ministers of States and Union Territories and concerned officers participated in the programme.
