Tragic Accident in Patna Metro Tunnel: Brake Failure Claims Lives of Two Workers

On Monday night, an accident happened in the under-construction metro tunnel in Patna, the capital of Bihar, which will send chills down your spine. Excavation work was going on in the tunnel. Meanwhile, there was chaos there. The scene was such that the one who heard it would shudder, just imagine what would have happened to the one who saw it. Suddenly, the brakes of the debris-carrying train running behind the pickup machine failed. This train trampled the workers working there.

In this accident, 2 workers died a painful death and many were seriously injured. This heart-wrenching accident happened on the Patna University route. The accident was so horrific that a worker's body was torn into 6 pieces. The workers lost their lives due to the failure of the brakes of the hydraulic lotto machine used inside the tunnel to remove the debris.

This painful accident happened at 10.30 pm on Monday. Excavation was going on in the metro tunnel near the stretch near NIT Ghat in Patna. Then suddenly the brakes of the train failed and there was chaos. Somewhere workers were soaked in blood and somewhere workers creating a ruckus, the scene was something like this.

A tunnel was being dug to run the metro in Patna. A hydraulic loco train is run inside to remove the soil that comes out while digging the tunnel. Actually what happened was that the brakes of the engine of that machine failed and this train passed by trampling the workers. Let us tell you that at the time of the accident, about 25 workers were working inside the tunnel. 2 died in the accident and 15 to 20 workers were seriously injured. Some workers are struggling between life and death in the hospital. The loco pilot has also died in this accident, he was a resident of Odisha.

This accident was so horrific that the body of a worker who was hit by the train was torn into six pieces. That worker got stuck between the train and the wall of the tunnel. Seeing this painful scene, the other workers present there started sweating. They started creating a ruckus. The police reached the spot immediately and rushed the injured to the hospital. All are being treated at Patna Medical College Hospital. Most of the injured workers are said to be from Odisha.

Two tunnels are being built in the stretch near NIT Ghat for the metro line in Patna. When the tunnel is excavated, a small debris train runs behind the machine. The machine removes the debris coming out during the excavation and the train takes this debris. A track has been laid inside the tunnel for the debris train. The major accident happened due to the failure of the brakes of this train.
