TMC Leader Kunal Ghosh Draws Parallels Between Kolkata Rape-Murder Case and Pulwama Attack Amid Protests

Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh has made a social media post requesting the doctors protesting on the Kolkata rape-murder case. During this, he also mentioned the Pulwama attack and said that justice has not been given in the Pulwama case. Kunal Ghosh said in a social media post, "I have requested the protesting doctors to withdraw their strike. Justice has not been given in the Pulwama case either."

He further said that just imagine how it would feel if the soldiers posted on the border went on strike saying 'We want justice'? '

On this, the West Bengal government said that the main accused had been arrested. The court has formed a national task force to suggest safe working conditions for healthcare professionals. The Supreme Court has now taken over the case and asked the CBI to file a report on the entire incident by August 22.

Hearing the case of rape and murder of a doctor at a government hospital in Kolkata, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that the country cannot wait for another rape case to "change things at the grassroots level".

The Supreme Court also asked the Bengal government not to use its powers on the protesting doctors.

The Supreme Court has said that we are forming a task force regarding this.

The CBI questioned suspects including the former principal of RG Kar Medical College. Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sanjay Roy and Assistant Sub-Inspector Anup Dutta of Kolkata Police, whose pictures with Roy were found on social media, were questioned by CBI officials at the agency's Salt Lake CGO Complex office.

Sandip Ghosh, who resigned a few days after the murder, was also asked who ordered the renovation of the rooms near the seminar hall after the incident. The CBI is trying to find out if there was a conspiracy behind the crime. The CBI will verify Sandip Ghosh's answer from the doctors and trainees who were on duty that day.
