Revenue Department’s Stall at Sonpur Mela a Hit Among Farmers for Digitized Maps

The stall of Revenue and Land Reforms Department at Sonpur Mela has remained the first choice of the peasants due to the sale of digitized maps. Till date, 4230 applicants have purchased a total of 10763 sheets in Sonpur Mela, which has generated an income of Rs. 1614450.00 for the department.

There are 2 counters in the stall for the sale of revenue maps. Long queues of people are seen at both the counters since morning. Despite it being about a month since the start of the fair, the attraction of the stall of Revenue and Land Reforms Department has not diminished.

CS, RS, Consolidation and Municipal Survey maps are available at both the counters. These maps can be obtained by paying Rs. 150 per sheet. Payment is made in cash. Maps of small villages are available in one sheet while maps of big villages are available in more than one sheet.

Revenue Map II is printed on large paper of A-zero size. In this, the size of the plot is on scale. With its help, the raiyat can get his land measured. Therefore, there is a lot of demand for this map.
