Punjab Reports 42% Surge in Stamp and Registration Revenue for June 2024
The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has achieved another accomplishment. In June 2024, the Punjab Government reported 42% increased revenue under the "stamp and registration" heading. Giving specifics, Jimpa stated that as of June 2024, the state exchequer had earned 452.96 crore in stamp and registration revenue, or 42% more than it did in June 2023. This income was 319.33 crore in June 2023.
He went on to say that the state exchequer received 526.36 cr in May 2024, compared to 430.63 cr in May 2023—a 22 percent increase over the previous year.
According to Jimpa, the state's revenue is always rising. He claimed that numerous initiatives made by the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, since its inception have resulted in improvements for the State.
He said that steps were taken to rid Punjab of corruption as soon as the administration was established.
