Punjab Govt Initiates Development Projects in Villages: Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak
Chandigarh/Pathankot: Punjab Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Preservation, Lal Chand Kataruchak, today laid the foundation stone of a water supply system at village Bhanwal, to be built at a cost of Rs 70 lakh. The project, expected to be completed within six months, will benefit around 500 families.
Addressing the gathering, Kataruchak highlighted the Punjab government's commitment to overall village development, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He emphasized the government's focus on providing jobs, free power, and ensuring road safety through the Sadak Surakhya Force.
During his visit to various villages in the Bhoa constituency, Kataruchak also announced the construction of a library at village Maira Colony, with an aid of Rs 5 lakh. He listened to the grievances of the villagers and assured them of prompt solutions.
At village Jhandpur, the Minister directed officials to lay a pipeline from the water supply of village Kalesar to ensure drinking water supply to the residents. He also promised the construction of a park in the village.
Kataruchak inspected the ongoing work on the main street at village Panjor and emphasized the need for quality work. He heard the grievances of the people at village Kalesar and took stock of the work related to the cleaning of the pond at village Ferozepur Kallan, apart from addressing water drainage issues.
The Minister assured the villagers that any problems related to village development would be addressed on a priority basis, and urged them to bring their issues to his attention.
