Punjab Government Hikes Honorarium for Guest Faculty at Ambedkar Institute | Education News

In a significant move aimed at bolstering the quality of education, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has announced a substantial hike in the honorarium for guest faculty members at the Ambedkar Institute for Careers and Courses in SAS Nagar (Mohali).

Dr. Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities, made the announcement, revealing that the honorarium for guest faculty members, who provide pre-examination coaching to students at the institute, has been revised upwards from ₹750 per hour to ₹1500 per hour.

This decision, Dr. Kaur emphasized, underscores the Punjab Government's unwavering commitment to the welfare of all sections of society, particularly employees and students. "Our government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of all stakeholders and will continue to support initiatives that enhance the quality of education," she asserted.

By increasing the honorarium for guest faculty members, the government aims to attract more experienced and qualified professionals to share their expertise with students, thereby enriching the learning experience. This move is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of education and training services provided to students at the institute.
