The Punjab Government has announced a local holiday in Amritsar district on September 4, 2024, to mark the auspicious occasion of the “First Parkash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.” This decision was made public today by an official spokesperson of the State Government.

The holiday will apply to all offices of the Punjab Government, boards, corporations, and government educational institutions within the district. The Personnel Department has issued an official notification to formalize the closure.
