Punjab Agriculture Minister Reaches Out to Farmers, Assures Support

Chandigarh:Punjab's Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Gurmeet Singh Khudian, met with farmers under the banner of BKU (Ugrahan) and Punjab Khet Mazdoor Union (PKMU) at Matka Chowk on Monday evening, following directions from Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.


The Minister received a memorandum from the farmers and assured them that their welfare remains the topmost priority for the state government. He pledged to deliberate on their demands with the Chief Minister and approach them with empathy and sympathetic consideration.


Khudian invited the farmers for a table talk with the state government, emphasizing the CM-led government's eagerness to engage with the farmers, listen to their perspectives, and address their issues effectively.


"The Punjab Government is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and prosperity of its farmers, who are the backbone of the state's economy," Khudian said in a press communique.


He added that the meeting marks the beginning of dialogue between the government and the farming community, aimed at finding solutions to their challenges and empowering them to thrive in an ever-evolving agricultural landscape.


The Minister reiterated the government's commitment to supporting and uplifting the farming community, recognizing their invaluable contribution to the state's economy and society.
