Protest March at Bangladesh High Commission: A Call to Action Against Atrocities on Hindus

On World Human Rights Day, the Civil Society of Delhi organized a protest march at the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi, condemning the atrocities and genocide against Hindus in Bangladesh. The march, which drew thousands of representatives from various sectors of society, aimed to register Indian society's protest against the continuous human rights violations and violence faced by Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh ¹.

The protest march was organized in collaboration with over 200 social, religious, professional, and cultural organizations. Notable personalities, including Sadhvi Ritambhara and Shri Keshav Murari from ISKCON, addressed the gathering, urging the international community to take effective measures to protect the human rights of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh ².

The Civil Society of Delhi submitted a memorandum to the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, emphasizing the historically strong and cordial relations between India and Bangladesh. The memorandum highlighted the significant deterioration in the situation in Bangladesh, particularly concerning the security and rights of religious minorities ³.

The protest march was a call to action, demanding the protection of human rights for Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. It was a reminder that the international community must take notice of the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh and take effective measures to prevent further violence.

As Sadhvi Ritambhara aptly put it, "Why are global organizations silent on the atrocities against Hindus? Do not mistake our compassion for cowardice. Hindu society will not tolerate the disrespect of its women." The protest march was a testament to the growing concern among Indians about the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh and the need for collective action to protect their human rights.
