Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar also attended this program. Addressing the program organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day celebrations, you all have come in very large numbers to welcome the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, so I welcome all of you and congratulate you all. You should know that the respected Prime Minister is doing every work for the country and is also helping Bihar completely. Today on 15 November, Tribal Pride Day has been organized in Jamui on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda ji. It is a matter of great happiness that the Honorable Prime Minister has come to Jamui to attend this program, I welcome him wholeheartedly, congratulate him. Also, I heartily congratulate the Honorable Governor of Bihar, Honorable Union Minister, Bihar Ministers and all the people associated with the program.

The Chief Minister said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda was the hero of the tribal society who struggled a lot for the tribal society. Bhagwan Birsa Munda was born on 15 November 1875 in Ranchi. Today Ranchi is separate but at the time when he was born, Bengal, Bihar and Orissa were all together. A few days after the freedom struggle, Bihar was separated from Bengal and a few months after that, Orissa was separated. Then Bihar and Jharkhand were all together. Jharkhand was separated from Bihar after a long time in the year 2000. At that time, the government at the center under the leadership of respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had decided to create a separate Jharkhand state from Bihar. Lord Birsa Munda has made a major contribution to the independence of the country and the upliftment of the tribal society. When he was agitating against the British, he was put in jail where he died in the year 1900 at the age of 25.

The Chief Minister said that the birthday of Lord Birsa Munda ji is being celebrated as Tribal Pride Day by the Central Government under the leadership of the respected Prime Minister, revered Narendra Modi ji from the year 2021. This year it has been about 150 years of the birthday of Lord Birsa Munda ji. Apart from Tribal Pride Day, today the revered Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated schemes worth Rs 6600 crore for the development of the tribal area, for this I congratulate him, this is a very big thing.

The Chief Minister said that the Bihar government has installed a statue of Lord Birsa Munda in Patna in the year 2007. Every year on 15th November, the state government celebrates the birthday of Lord Birsa Munda as a state function. Even today, it is celebrated as a state function. Since the NDA government was formed in Bihar in 2005, we have done a lot of work for the tribal society there. I once again congratulate the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for attending today's program and also express my gratitude to the Honorable Governor of Bihar and all the guests associated with this program. I also thank all the officers and employees of the state and central government for organizing this program. You all will know each and every thing from the Prime Minister's words. I again say that we will be with him for the whole day. Some people from my place made mistakes in between. We have been together since the time of respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. We were together in his government too, but there was some problem in between, but now we will never go anywhere. We have been together since 1995. Now we will not go anywhere but will be with him completely.

The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister is working for the whole country and he has done a lot for Bihar and is doing it. Wherever the Prime Minister goes, he gets a lot of work done there. Now that he has come here, he has got so much development work done. He is welcome, he is congratulated. We are completely with him. It is a matter of great happiness that he has come here today, I congratulate him. I would like to say that all of you should remain united and I request all of you to raise your hands and congratulate the Prime Minister. Thank you very much to all of you for raising your hands and congratulating the Prime Minister. I conclude my speech with these words. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar welcomed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by presenting a statue of Tilka Manjhi.

During the program, the Prime Minister, Governor and Chief Minister along with other guests on the dais released a commemorative mark and commemorative postage stamp of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.

At the start of the program, the Prime Minister, Governor and Chief Minister visited the exhibition set up near the dais on tribal heritage, saga of brave sons and entrepreneurship of tribal citizens.
