PHED Blacklists Two Contractors for Negligence in Implementing "Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal" Scheme

Taking strict action against the negligence in implementation of "Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal" Nischay, the department has decided to put two contractors in the blacklist for 03 years. The Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Pankaj Kumar has given strict instructions to all the contractors related to water supply schemes that if any negligence or laxity is found on the part of the contractors in the implementation of water supply schemes, then the department will take further strict action against them.

In the light of the recommendation received from the Chief Engineer, Bhagalpur Region, Bhagalpur, an order has been issued to put the firm in the blacklist as the contractor Mr. Abhishek Kumar under the Public Health Engineering Department did not implement the water supply scheme under the agreement for the implementation of the Chief Minister Drinking Water Nischay Yojana under Bhagalpur district despite repeated reminders and warnings. Similarly, an order has been issued to blacklist M/s Geron Engineering, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) in the light of the recommendation received from the Chief Engineer, Purnia Project Purnia, for not carrying out the repair and maintenance work of IOT Device including installation of IOT Device in the schemes for the implementation of Mukhyamantri Peyjal Nishchay Yojana under Araria district, despite repeated reminders and warnings.

The said contractors did not complete the work on time as per the agreement, after which the contractors were repeatedly reminded and warned to complete the work but the contractors did not complete the work, after which this action was taken by the department.

A penalty of Rs 2,000 per day is also being imposed on the contractor for not starting the closed schemes within the period prescribed by the department.
