Patna Launches Sweeping Inspection of Coaching Institutes, Including Khan Sir's Center

Following a recent incident at a coaching institute in Delhi, Patna's DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has ordered a comprehensive inspection of coaching institutes in the city, focusing on six key areas including safety measures and registration. On the first day, 30 coaching institutes were inspected.

As part of this inspection, a team led by Sadar SDO Shrikant Kundalik Khandekar also evaluated Khan Sir's 'Khan GS Research Center' (Khan Sir Patna Coaching Institute). Several deficiencies were found during this inspection.

Following the inspection, Khan Sir announced a holiday for his coaching institute on Wednesday and assured the Sadar SDO that all necessary documents would be updated. The SDO mentioned that the number of students in this coaching institute exceeds the space capacity. He also requested documents related to the fire NOC, registration, and other aspects. Khan Sir is expected to visit the office today.

The SDO clarified that no action is currently being taken against any coaching institute. All institutes are being given the opportunity to make necessary improvements. Subsequent decisions will be made at the DM level.

It is noteworthy that the DM is also holding a meeting with representatives of coaching institutes today to discuss the implementation of the provisions of the Bihar Coaching Act.

In Delhi's Old Rajendra Nagar, after the tragic drowning incident at a self-study center in the basement resulting in the death of two female students and one male student, the municipal corporation took significant action in Mukherjee Nagar. The corporation sealed the large center of the renowned IAS coaching academy 'Drishti IAS' (M/s Drishti-The Vision) located in Nehru Vihar. This coaching center is owned by Vikas Divyakirti.
