Odisha Government Reduces Z Category Security for Former CM Naveen Patnaik

According to the information given by an official, the security category of Biju Janata Dal chief and former Odisha Chief Minister Patnaik has been reduced from Z to Y after several recommendations made by the high-level committee related to security issues of important persons. According to the information, most of the security personnel deployed in the security of Naveen Patnaik have been withdrawn.

The official has informed us that now two security personnel of Havildar rank will be deployed for the security of former CM Naveen Patnaik. The official has said that two PSOs are provided to former Chief Ministers by the government. At the same time, if needed, additional security is also arranged.

Odisha government official has informed that when Naveen Patnaik will tour outside Bhubaneswar as the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, he will be provided necessary security by the local police.
