Nitish Kumar Inspects Patna's Chhath Ghats, Ensures Safety and Convenience for Devotees
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the Chhath Ghats in Patna. He inspected various Ganga Ghats from Nasriganj Ghat to Kangan Ghat by steamer. During the inspection, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the officials regarding the cleanliness, security and hygiene of the Ghats.
After a long time, he talked to the media. During a conversation of just 15 seconds, he said that very good arrangements are being made for Chhath. We have come to see that the devotees do not face any kind of problem. Everything is going well.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar instructed the officials to ensure that the Chhath devotees do not face any problems in offering Arghya. Take special care of the facilities of the Chhath devotees. Construct Chhath Ghats keeping in mind the safety of Chhath devotees. Keep strong security arrangements at the Chhath Ghats because of the water level and flow of the Ganga river. Get strong barricading done near the Chhath Ghats from the security point of view. Barricading should be done near the approach path of the ghats and the roads along the banks of the river Ganga for smooth movement of Chhath devotees. Also ensure that along with safety and security, Chhath devotees get all kinds of facilities.
He said that by using signage (indicator marks) on Chhath ghats, Chhath devotees should be informed about the arrangements being made there, movement etc. During Chhath Puja, Chhath devotees and devotees should be continuously informed about the arrangements made at Chhath ghats and other information through miking. Make smooth traffic arrangements for Chhath devotees and devotees to reach Chhath ghats so that Chhath devotees do not face any inconvenience in movement. Also, make arrangements for toilets on Chhath ghats so that the devotees coming there do not face any problems. Make complete arrangements for cleanliness on Chhath ghats. Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj and other senior officials were present during the inspection.
