Nidhi Khare Takes Additional Charge as Secretary of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy

Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare has been given additional charge of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

The Union Personnel Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday. Nidhi Khare is a 1992 batch IAS of Jharkhand cadre. She has worked as Principal Secretary of Health, Personnel Administration, Commercial Tax Department in Jharkhand and is counted as a sharp officer.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is the nodal ministry of the Government of India for matters related to new and renewable energy. The broad objective of this ministry is to meet the energy needs of the country by developing and establishing new and renewable energy.

Nidhi Khare has taken charge in this ministry as the new secretary.
