Martyrs' Day: Tribute Paid to 7 Immortal Martyrs on Shaheed Diwas in Patna

Patna: Today, on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas, the sacrifices of seven immortal martyrs who laid down their lives for India's freedom on August 11, 1942, were remembered and paid tribute to. The martyrs include Umakant Prasad Singh, Ramnand Singh, Satish Prasad Jha, Jagatpati Kumar, Deipada Chaudhary, Rajendra Singh, and Ram Govind Singh.


A state-level function was organized at the Shaheed Smarak premises in Patna to pay tribute to the martyrs. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid wreaths on the martyrs' memorial and paid their respects.


Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Information and Public Relations Minister Maheshwar Hazari, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Minister Janak Ram, MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, Assembly Vice-Chairman Narendra Narayan Yadav, and other dignitaries paid their respects to the martyrs.


Later, the Governor, Chief Minister, and other dignitaries visited the Shaheed Park in the Secretariat premises and paid their respects to the martyrs by offering flower petals to the Amar Jyoti. The Information and Public Relations Department's artists presented Bihar and patriotic songs on the occasion.


This tribute honors the sacrifices of the brave martyrs who fought for India's independence and serves as a reminder of their contributions to the nation's freedom struggle.
