The Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj after 144 years concluded today with the last Amritsnan on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. Crores of devotees took a holy dip in the sacred waters in this grand event which started on 13 January. As soon as the Maha Kumbh concludes, people are curious about when and where the next Kumbh Mela will be held. The next Kumbh Mela is to be held in 2027. Which will not be held in Prayagraj, but in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It will be known as Ardh Kumbh 2027. The Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand has already started preparations for the Ardh Kumbh to be held on the holy banks of Maa Ganga in Haridwar.

Government officials in Haridwar have held a big meeting regarding the preparations for 'Ardh Kumbh 2027'. After the meeting, the IG of Garhwal told the media, "The traffic plan was discussed in the meeting. There was a discussion in the meeting about how the traffic and parking arrangements will be during the Ardh Kumbh, and how the crowd will be controlled." He said- "The meeting also discussed the expenses and infrastructure required for the preparation of Ardh Kumbh."

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has already given instructions to the officials regarding Ardh Kumbh. He has instructed to make Kumbh grand, divine and safe. He has made it clear to the officials that the devotees coming to Kumbh should not face any kind of problem.

On the auspicious day of Mahashivratri, the final holy bath of the Maha Kumbh commenced with devotees chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev.’ From the early hours, devotees took a sacred dip in the Sangam and the Ganga. By 4 PM today, 1.32 crore devotees had performed the holy bath, bringing the total number of pilgrims to over 66 crores. To enhance the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh, the fair administration showered 120 quintals of rose petals on the devotees.

Congratulating the people on Mahashivratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on the social media platform 'X', "Hearty congratulations to all the revered saints and devotees who have come to take sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam today on the holy bathing festival of Mahashivratri dedicated to the worship of Lord Bholenath in Maha Kumbh 2025, Prayagraj." He said, "May Tribhuvanpati Lord Shiva and the holy stream Mother Ganga bless everyone, this is my prayer. Har Har Mahadev."
