LSR College Hosts Thrilling Crossword Contest, Launches Crossword Club
The esteemed Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, played host to an intellectually stimulating Crossword Contest organized by Extra-C, a premier organization promoting crossword culture in India. The event was graced by eminent personalities and saw enthusiastic participation from students eager to showcase their puzzle-solving prowess.
The highlight of the day was a captivating workshop session on cryptic crosswords conducted by the renowned Crossword Expert and Vice President of the Crossword Association of Delhi, Mr. VinayakEkbote. Known for his deep understanding and insightful approach to crossword puzzles, Mr. Ekbote engaged the participants with his expert tips and techniques, making the session both enlightening and enjoyable.
Following the workshop, the much-anticipated contest commenced, challenging the participants' analytical skills and vocabulary. After an intense competition, the top honors were awarded to:

Second Prize: AnshikaChhokei
Third Prize: Samriddhi Sharma
The event witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Vivek Singh, Chief Mentor of Extra-C and Chairman of RERA Bihar; Mr. AmritLugun, Former Ambassador to Greece; Mrs. Suman Sharma, Principal, LSR College; Dr TriptiBassi and Dr Junaki Ghosh, Faculty Members of LSR College; Dr.RituSapra, Professor at Delhi University; Mr. VinayakEkbote, Crossmaster; and Ms. Unsa Siddiqui, Director of Corporate Relations, Extra-C.
Mrs. Suman Sharma, Principal of LSR College, emphasized the significance of crossword puzzles in enhancing cognitive abilities, critical thinking, and overall development. She announced the establishment of a Crossword Club at LSR College, aimed at nurturing crossword enthusiasts and organizing regular contests.
She also gratefully received a crossword book for the college library, enriching the institution's academic resources.
