Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Promises Metro Rail in Three Cities in Jharkhand Election Manifesto

Union Minister Chirag Paswan's party Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) released its manifesto for the Jharkhand assembly elections on Wednesday. The party has named a manifesto released in Ranchi as Sankalp Patra. It was released by the party's Lok Sabha MP from Khagaria in Bihar and in-charge of Jharkhand, Rajesh Verma. In this manifesto, LJP has made a series of announcements. LJP has promised to run metro rail in three cities of the state. LJP has also promised to implement the Sarna Code for tribals.

Rajesh Verma said that the poor, Dalits, women, tribals and youth have been given importance in the LJP's manifesto. He said that LJP is committed to the all-round development of Jharkhand. Keeping this in mind, LJP has talked about starting a metro rail service in the state for the first time. He said that starting metro service in Ranchi, Dhanbad and Tata will open new avenues of development. In its manifesto, LJP has also promised to give priority to youth in the industries set up in Jharkhand and to make arrangements for free transportation of youth of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe to the examination center for job application. Keeping in mind the tribal population of the state, LJP has talked about bringing the Sarna Code in its election manifesto.

Apart from this, LJP has also promised to ensure the rights of the locals on natural resources. LJP has promised to form a commission for the development of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes. It has also promised to make a concrete law to stop infiltration in Jharkhand.

LJP is a part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Under the seat sharing in Jharkhand, it has got one seat to contest the elections. LJP is contesting the assembly election from Chatra. There it has fielded Jarnadan Paswan as its candidate. Paswan is pitted against RJD's Rashmi Prakash. Paswan has left RJD and joined LJP. He has been an MLA twice. He was first elected MLA in 1995 on a Janata Dal ticket. After this, in 2009, he won the election on a RJD ticket. He has also contested the assembly election once on a BJP ticket. RJD candidate Rashmi Prakash is the daughter-in-law of Satyanand Bhogta, who was a minister from RJD quota in Jharkhand's Hemant Soren government. LJP's state-in-charge claimed that his party would win this seat by a margin of 50 thousand.
