Kejriwal's big announcement in Delhi: These facilities will the government provide for auto drivers
Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement for auto drivers. Kejriwal on Tuesday said that auto owners in Delhi will now have insurance. Auto drivers will be insured up to Rs. 10 lakhs. Kejriwal also announced Rs 1 lakh for the wedding of an auto driver's daughter. Kejriwal said that Rs 2,500 would be given twice a year for the uniforms of auto drivers. The Delhi government will also bear the cost of coaching the children of the auto drivers.
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal and his wife Sunita had lunch at the home of auto driver Navneet in Kondli. Navneet had invited Arvind Kejriwal for tea on Ferozeshah Road on Monday.
The Aam Aadmi Party has so far announced 31 candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls in Delhi. The AAP has changed candidates or fielded new faces in 20 of the 31 seats. Among the MLAs whose tickets have been changed are former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Assembly Deputy Speaker Rakhi Bidlan.
AAP has changed Manish Sisodia's seat and given him the ticket from Jangpura. While his seat from Patparganj is educationist Awadh Ojha. Jangpura MLA Praveen Deshmukh's ticket has been cut. Deputy Speaker Rakhi Bidlan has also been shifted from Madipur.
Dilip Pandey, MLA from Timarpur seat, is the AAP's chief whip in the Delhi Assembly. His ticket has been cut and given to Surendra Pal Singh Bittu. Bittu, a two-time MLA from Timarpur, has recently joined the AAP from the BJP. This is Surendra Bittu's second innings in the Aam Aadmi Party.
