Kejriwal Released from Tihar Jail After Supreme Court Grants Bail
The Supreme Court has granted conditional bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. CM Kejriwal has been released from barrack number 3 of Tihar Jail. A large number of Aam Aadmi Party supporters have gathered outside the jail. Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal has also reached Tihar Jail.
Before the release of Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party workers gathered outside Tihar Jail on Friday to celebrate. Here the workers are raising slogans in support of Kejriwal and against the BJP.
Arvind Kejriwal has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in the liquor scam case. Aam Aadmi Party workers are celebrating by dancing and singing outside CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence in Delhi. Along with this, AAP workers have also burst crackers outside Kejriwal's residence.
Just hours after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got bail from the Supreme Court, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann reached the capital Delhi on Friday. CM Mann has also met Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on 21 March in the excise policy case. He was granted interim bail on 10 May for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections and he has been in jail since surrendering on 2 June.
The Supreme Court, while granting bail to Kejriwal, said that he cannot go to his office or the Delhi Secretariat. He cannot sign any official file unless it is necessary to obtain the approval of the Lieutenant Governor.
