Kejriwal Government Response to BJP's Membership Drive in 252 Slum Clusters
As the elections approach, the BJP may put on a grand ‘nautanki’, but the people of Delhi remain unwavering in their support for Arvind Kejriwal, their son and brother.
Arvind Kejriwal, who gave up his IRS job, lived in slums, and deeply understood the struggles of the economically disadvantaged section. When he first became Chief Minister, he ensured water pipelines were laid in all the 1,800 unauthorized colonies. Before his leadership, these colonies did not even have access to basic essentials such as water.
In less than a decade, CM Arvind Kejriwal has transformed Delhi’s infrastructure by building roads in the unauthorized colonies.
CM Arvind Kejriwal recognized the urgent need for quality education for children in slum areas, sparking Delhi's renowned education revolution. Today, the children of drivers, peons, and sanitation workers are entering prestigious institutions like IITs and pursuing careers as doctors, engineers and lawyers.
While no previous government cared for the health of the financially disadvantaged, the AAP government has built 550 Mohalla Clinics, including special Pink Mohalla Clinics for women, ensuring healthcare for all.
Under CM Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, women from financially disadvantaged backgrounds have been among the biggest beneficiaries. They now enjoy free bus travel across Delhi, while the elderly are taken on free pilgrimages—dignifying their journeys.
The Kejriwal government has also provided free electricity to the people of Delhi, with the greatest relief going to those who need it most—the financially vulnerable.
Every policy we’ve implemented has been focused on uplifting the lives of the financially disadvantaged, while the BJP has relied on bulldozer politics, carrying out demolition drives through its agencies, destroying the homes of the poor instead of building a better future for them.
