Kashmir’s first Vande Bharat train to be flagged off by PM Modi on April 19

Kashmir is going to get its first Vande Bharat train. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat train from Katra on April 19. In addition, PM Modi will inaugurate the world's highest rail bridge in Udhampur. After the inauguration of this train, Kashmir will be connected to any part of India by direct rail connectivity, which has been demanded in this region for a long time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the world's highest rail bridge in Udhampur on April 19. After this, he will reach Katra and flag off the Vande Bharat train for Srinagar. The Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat train will run from Katra for a few months as the renovation of Jammu railway station continues. This will be a historic moment in connecting the Kashmir Valley to the rest of the world through rail.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh said in a conversation with the media, “Repeated meetings are being held in the Home Ministry on the issue of security, and it is not appropriate to discuss these topics more publicly. However, in the last few months, special attention has been paid to this subject, especially regarding terrorists and their supporters. Appropriate action is being taken by the army and paramilitary forces in this matter as much as possible. However, it is not possible to mention it more publicly.”
Sharing information about Prime Minister Modi's Kashmir visit, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Jammu and Kashmir on April 19. His landing will be in Udhampur. After this, he will inspect and inaugurate the world's highest rail bridge. After this, he will reach Katra and flag off the Vande Bharat Express.”
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and other officials will be present at the inauguration.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh also reminded that Katra railway station was dedicated to the country by Prime Minister Modi soon after he became the Prime Minister in 2014. Although the first train reached Jammu in 1972, we had to wait for 50 years for PM Modi to come. Now we are getting this facility, and I believe that this will be a historic achievement not only for India but for the whole world.
