The country's first Vande Metro will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi next week. However, the exact date and time of the launch is still not decided. A senior railway official said that we have got the rake. The launch time has not been decided yet. The final chart will come soon. It is believed that PM Modi can launch it on 17 September.

India's first Vande Metro has been allotted to Gujarat. The train will be operated and maintained by the Western Railway (WR) zone. The train will run between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. Vande Metro is a fully AC train, which has all the features of Vande Bharat trains. Initially, the train will be launched with a minimum of 12 Vande Metro coaches. Later, the national transporter will expand it to 16 coaches as per the demand of the route.

The maximum speed limit of the Vande Metro train equipped with modern facilities will be between 100 to 200 kilometers per hour. The train has a unique coach, in which four coaches will form a unit. Fire and smoke detection systems have been installed with 14 sensors in each coach so that any kind of smoke arising in the train can be detected immediately.
