Indian Crossword League (IXL 2024) Set to Commence with a Practice Round This Sunday
The eagerly anticipated moment for crossword enthusiasts around the globe has arrived. The twelfth edition of the prestigious Indian Crossword League (IXL 2024) is set to commence with a practice round this Sunday. Regular participants including Melissa McLachlan, Erik Agard, Nicholas Burke among others from Australia, USA, UK, Bahrain, etc are in the race to take home the coveted trophy. The defending champion, Shashwat Salgaocar from Goa is all set to repeat the victory.
Practice Round on 8th September 2024
The practice round will be non-scoring and is designed to familiarize participants with the contest's format and difficulty level. A 15x15 grid featuring 25-30 cryptic crossword clues will be available on crypticsingh.com starting at 11 am (IST). Solutions will be accepted until 11:59 pm (IST) on 11th September 2024 (Wednesday).
IXL 2024 Format
Following the practice round, the first stage of the contest will start. This stage includes 10 online rounds, running from 15th September 2024 to 17th November 2024. Each weekly round begins on Sunday at 11:00 am (IST) and concludes the following Wednesday at 11:59 pm (IST). The final leaderboard, reflecting the aggregate scores from all online rounds, will be published at the end of Stage 1. The top 30 participants will then advance to the second stage and the Grand Finale.
How to Participate?
