Indian Crossword League 2024 Set to Begin with First Online Round

The highly anticipated Indian Crossword League 2024 (IXL 2024) is set to kick off this Sunday, with the first of ten online rounds. Crossword enthusiasts worldwide are gearing up for the competition, following a successful practice round that helped participants assess their preparation ahead of the official contest.

In the practice round, Erik Agard, a renowned crossword solver from Kansas City, USA, secured the top spot with a perfect score, leading the global leaderboard. The top 10 featured players from Bahrain and Dubai, who navigated time zone challenges to excel in the competition based on Indian Standard Time (IST).

First Phase: 10 Online Rounds from September 15 to November 17

The first phase of IXL 2024 will consist of 10 online rounds, running every Sunday from September 15 to November 17, starting at 11:00 AM IST and closing on Wednesday at 11:59 PM IST. Participants will earn cumulative scores throughout the competition, and the top 30 on the final leaderboard will advance to the Grand Finale in December, to be held in Bengaluru.
