India to Bolster Naval Strength with 26 Rafale Jets and 3 Scorpene Submarines

A big increase is going to happen in the strength of the Indian Navy. India is soon going to confirm the purchase of 26 Rafale fighter planes for the Navy. Along with this, a deal is also going to be done for three more Scorpene submarines. Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi gave information about this on Monday. He has said that separate contracts can be signed for the purchase of 26 Rafale fighter planes and three Scorpene submarines in the next month i.e. January itself.

While talking to the media before the Indian Navy Day to be celebrated on December 4, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said that India is keeping a close watch on the activities of the navies of China and Pakistan. He has expressed hope that if not this month, then next month the deal for Rafale fighter aircraft and submarine will be finalized and it should be signed.

The Navy Chief has given another important information that the central government has also approved two nuclear-powered submarines. A total of 6 such submarines have been planned to be built. The Navy Chief has said that the first nuclear-powered submarine will be ready by 2036-37 and the second by 2038-39.

Last year, the Indian government's Defense Ministry approved the purchase of Rafale-M jets from France. These planes will be mainly deployed on India's indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. Navy Chief Admiral Tripathi has said that this is an agreement between the governments of the two countries, so it will not take much time. Along with this, he has also told that currently, the construction of 62 ships and one submarine is going on to increase the capacity of India's Navy.

For some time now, many warships and submarines have been built by China for the Pakistani Navy. On this issue, Navy Chief Admiral Tripathi said - "8 new submarines will be a very important combat capability for the Pakistani Navy, but we are aware of their capabilities. We are aware of the amazing growth of the Pakistani Navy, which aims to become a 50-ship navy. They have chosen weapons instead of the welfare of their people. We are keeping an eye on forces outside the region, including the Chinese Navy, their warships and their research ships. We know what they are doing and where they are."
