IIT Bombay's Nandan and Advay bag first prize in west zonal round of NICE 2024

The west zonal round of National Inter-college Crossword Expedition (NICE) 2024 held at IIM Mumbai on Saturday. Students from Mumbai, Indore, Surat, Jaipur and Pune who qualified the zonal round participated to grab their seat in the grand finale of the contest. The two stage contest comprising the written prelims and on-stage round gave the top three scorers qualification for the grand finale round, with IIT Bombay team grabbing the top spot in the leaderboard.

• Rank-2: Samruddhi Sinai Salgaonkar ( Goa dental college)

• Rank-3: Pragati Tripathi (IIM Mumbai)

Mr Ajoy Mehta, Chairman, RERA, Maharashtra graced the event as the Chief Guest. Several dignitaries including Mr Vivek Kumar Singh, Chairman RERA, Bihar, Mr Amal Pushp, Chief Commissioner, Income Tax, Mumbai, Mr Nand Kumar, Former Education Secretary, Maharashtra, Mr Manoj Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, Mr Mohan Deshmukh, President Crossword Association of Maharashtra, Professor Utpal Chattopadhyay and Professor Rauf Iqbal from IIM Mumbai and Ms Unsa Siddiqui, Director, Corporate Relations, Extra-C gave their well wishes and blessings to the winners and all participants.

The top three teams will compete with the other teams that have qualified from the other zones including south, west, east, north and north east in the grand finale scheduled on 4th and 5th September in New Delhi. While the zonal rounds in south, north-east and west are completed. The rounds in east and north will be held on 16th and 17th August respectively.
