Horticulture experts get together in Patna for an on-farm trial workshop

ICAR Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone-IV in Patna hosted a two-day On Farm Trial cum Refresher Workshop Training Program this week for Horticulture Subject Matter Specialists.


Horticulture experts from Bihar and Jharkhand came together to talk about new study ideas and give updates on trials that were still going on in farms. Subject experts from 44 areas, which were represented by the Krishi Vigyan Kendras, took part.


Dr. Vikas Das, Director of the ICAR-National Research Centre on Litchi, Dr. Anup Das, Director of ICAR-RCER, and other well-known people joined the chief guest, Dr. S.K. Singh, who is the Deputy Director General (Horticulture) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in New Delhi.


Key topics included updates on ongoing trials on farms that aim to increase output, look into new crop varieties, fight pests and diseases, and create long-lasting methods for horticulture in the area.


Dr. Amarendra Kumar, Horticulture Scientist at Zone-IV, led the class, and Dr. Md. Monoburullah was his co-chair. Thanks were given by the organizers to all the experts who took part.
