History Rewritten at Indian Crossword League 12.0: Shashwat Salgaoncar Clinches Championship Trophy for the Second Year

The 12th edition of the prestigious Indian Crossword League (IXL 12.0) culminated in a spectacular display of intellect and mastery, as Shashwat Salgaoncar, an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus from Goa created a flutter by securing the Championship Trophy for the second consecutive year. Joining him on the podium as joint runner-ups were Ramki Krishnan, a consultant from Chennai and Madhup Tewari an IPS officer from New Delhi, marking a grand finale that will be remembered for its intensity and brilliance. The event was conducted by Ochintya Sharma and Dr Satyen Nabar was the Chief Arbiter. The program was anchored by Kushagra Singh and Robin Kumar of Extra C, and Venkat and Rajesh from Vikas Global.

The championship began with written preliminaries where 24 registered qualifiers tested their mettle by solving cryptic crossword grids within a stipulated time. The combination of accuracy and speed determined the top six scorers who advanced to the on-stage final round.

The grand event was elevated by the esteemed presence of several distinguished personalities, including Vivek Kumar Singh, IAS Chairman, RERA, Bihar, Rakesh Singh, IAS, Chairman, RERA, Bihar, Amar Pandey, IPS , President, Crossword Association of Karnataka, Umesh Kumar, IPS and Seemant Singh, IPS.

Their words of encouragement highlighted the IXL platform's intellectual rigor and cultural significance. The State Bank of India supported the event.
