"Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal": Nitish Kumar government strict on contractor; blacklisted for negligence
Under the leadership of Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, the state government is working with commitment in the interest of the public. Ambitious schemes like "Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal" are the result of the Chief Minister's thinking and his development-oriented approach, which aims to provide pure drinking water to every citizen. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, any kind of negligence in the implementation of these schemes will not be tolerated.
Taking strict action for negligence in the implementation of "Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal", the Public Health Engineering Department has decided to put the contractor M/s "SBD Green Energy and Infra India Pvt. Ltd." on the blacklist for 05 years. Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, Shri Pankaj Kumar has given strict instructions to all the contractors related to water supply schemes that if any negligence is found from the level of the contractors in the implementation of water supply schemes, then the department will take similar strict action against them in future. It is to be noted that the department had recently taken action against 02 contractors and decided to put them on the blacklist for 03 years.
In light of the recommendation received from the Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Bhagalpur Region Bhagalpur and Purnia Region Purnia, it has been decided to put the firm on the blacklist as the contractor "SID Green Energy and Infra India Pvt. Ltd, Gurugram" under the Public Health Engineering Department did not implement the water supply scheme under the agreement for the implementation of the Chief Minister Drinking Water Nishchay Yojana under Banka and Araria districts despite repeated reminders and warnings.
The said contractors did not complete the work on time as per the agreement, after which they were repeatedly reminded and warned to complete the work. This harmed the functioning and monitoring of the schemes, after which the department decided to take this action.
If the contractors do not restart the closed schemes within the period prescribed by the department, a penalty of Rs 2,000 per day is also imposed on the contractor.
