Gurumati Sammelan on Children's Day at Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School

On the occasion of Children's Day, a Gurumati Sammelan was organized at Bal Mandir Senior Secondary School, Defence Enclave, Delhi. On this occasion, a prayer meeting was held in the school courtyard of the school by Guru Nanak Sahib.

Sardar Kulvidar Singh Ji, head of Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib Ji was the chief guest in this function. He called the sacrifice of Sahib Bajad in the school as supreme and explained the subject in detail to the students of the school. The workers of State Volunteer Association, Eastern Department also played a significant role in organizing the gathering. Chief of Guru Nanak Dev University, Dilbag Singh Ji was the main speaker of this program.

He told the students about the principles of Sikhism and said that Veer Bal Diwas is dedicated to the martyrdom of four Sahib Bajadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose heroism, bravery and martyrdom are marked in the history of the struggle fought for the religion and culture of India. The four Shahi Bajads accepted to sacrifice their lives for their country and religion instead of bowing down in front of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.

Recalling the supreme sacrifice of the four Shahi Bajads during the Gumati Samagam, the congregation present offered prayers to the four Shahi Bajads of Guru Govind Singh Ji, Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jhajjar Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.

School teacher Yogesh Arora Ji told that on the orders of Aurangzeb, 9 year old Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and 7 year old Baba Fateh Singh Ji were made to die in the army, but their indomitable courage and sacrifice made the country, religion and Indian culture proud. He asked all the students to consider Veer Bal Divas as a symbol of sacrifice and inspiration of Shahi Bajpayee and to imbibe it in their lives.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Santosh Ahuja said that we all should take inspiration from the life of Shahi Bajpayee and should always be ready for our work for the country and religion. To make the life value of Shahi Bajpayee meaningful in the present times, he told the students that all of you should give equal respect to your parents and teachers like Shahi Bajpayee.

On this occasion, the school recited poems and other students recited poems on the valor of Shahi Bajpayee and in between the recitation, the slogan “Jo Bole so Nihal, Sat Sri Akaal” was repeatedly raised. The students of the school said that taking inspiration from the life of Shahi Bajjad, they will try to uplift the equality of India, the stories of Shahi Bajjad inspired not only the students but also the people of the society present there.
