Empowering India: Replicating Bihar's Solar Power Success Model Nationwide

The central government has decided to replicate Bihar's model of installing solar panels on government buildings across India. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy with energy officials from all states. The meeting was chaired by the ministry's secretary, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla.

Bhalla said that the Bihar model is a "successful one" and that it has the potential to save a significant amount of electricity. He also said that the model is cost-effective and can be easily replicated in other states.

Under the Bihar government's Jal Jeevan Hariyali scheme, solar panels are being installed on the roofs of all government buildings in the state. So far, 20 megawatts of electricity is being generated from solar panels installed on government buildings in Bihar.

Under the Bihar model, solar panels are installed on the roofs of government buildings with the help of a subsidy from the state government. The subsidy covers up to 65% of the cost of installation.

The central government has directed all states to install solar panels on their government buildings. The government will provide financial assistance to states for the implementation of the scheme.

So far, solar panels have been installed on the roofs of over 6,000 government buildings in Bihar. This has resulted in the generation of 20 megawatts of electricity.

The Indian government plans to install solar panels on the roofs of over 1 million government buildings across the country. This is expected to generate 2,000 megawatts of electricity.

Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said that the state has been a pioneer in renewable energy initiatives. He said that Bihar was the first state to launch the Saubhagya scheme, which provided electricity connections to all households in the country.

"Bihar has always been at the forefront of renewable energy initiatives. We are happy that our solar power model is being replicated across India," Yadav said.

The replication of Bihar's solar power model is a major step towards India's goal of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030.

The decision to implement the Bihar model is a major boost for the development of solar energy in India. It is also a recognition of the innovative work being done by the Bihar government in the field of renewable energy.
