Drishti IAS Announces ₹10 Lakh Compensation for Each Victim of Delhi Coaching Center Tragedy

Vikas Divyakriti, the head of coaching institute Drishti IAS, which has come under fire after the Old Rajendra Nagar accident in Delhi, has made a big announcement. On Friday (August 2), he announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the students who lost their lives in the accident.

Vikas Divyakriti said, "August 2, 2024 In the last few days, four promising students died untimely in two accidents in Old Rajendra Nagar. One student Nilesh Rai died due to electric shock on a flooded road, while three students Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni and Nivin Dalvin fell victim to sudden waterlogging in the basement of a coaching institute. This time is definitely very difficult for the families of the four children. "

He said, "We stand with them in this immense grief. We know that no amount of money can erase the pain of losing children, yet as a humble effort to express our partnership in this hour of grief, Drishti IAS has decided to provide financial assistance of ₹10 lakh (each) to the four bereaved families.''

IAS Vikas Divyakriti said, ''We would be grateful if we could help the bereaved families in any way during this time of grief or thereafter. In addition, we will also be ready to help all the current students of Rau's IAS. We will provide them free academic support and classes for preparation of general studies, test series and optional subjects. Students who wish to avail this facility can contact the help desk present at our Karol Bagh office from Monday, 5 August 2024.''
