Day 3 of All India Civil Services Drama Competition Brings Laughter and Reflection to Patna

Today was the third day of the 'All India Civil Services Music, Dance and Short Drama Competition 2024-25' organized under the aegis of Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation under the guidance of Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Government of India. This event is being organized at Urja Auditorium, Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, Bihar.

Stage directors Ladli Roy and Jaya Agarwal announced that a total of five plays will be staged today.

The first story was titled 'Kaam Ka Na Kaaj Ka Tamasha Moocher Raj Ka' The basic of this story is that people know what their rights are. They know that there are many facilities above the basic things like roti-kapda-makaan. There are many things that we do not have, most of the people belong to the poor class. If we get something for free from the capitalist class in the bureaucratic system, then we are happy with it. This has been staged in the play. They distroy some basic things among the people. But most of the comforts are for one's own self, that is, the king. This is a big truth. This is the basic plot of the story.

The second play 'Humare Ram' which was staged in today's program was presented by the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat. The story was originally played in Telugu language based on Kamban Ramayana. It was dramatized by the great hero Ashutosh Ranaji. In this story, it is shown how Shurpanakha took revenge from Ravana for the murder of her husband through deception. Since Shurpanakha's husband was not a demon and Ravana had killed him for this reason. Shurpanakha made a strategy. She provoked Ravana to kidnap Sita. She had to make Ravana bow down and defeat him. This entire deception was created by Shurpanakha. This scene of Shurpanakha is not shown in this story. But the sage showed the whole center in it that the entire strategy was of Shurpanakha.

The third play that was staged was a presentation of Maharashtra Secretariat. The title of the play was 'The Common Man'. In this play, it is shown how the story of the struggles of an ordinary family goes on. How an ordinary family falls and then recovers every day in the desire to do something special. But they face every small and big problem with patience. With the hope that maybe now everything will become normal.

The fourth presentation of the day was of RSB Kanpur. The title of the play was 'Taj Mahal Ka Tender'. If Emperor Shah Jahan wanted to build the Taj Mahal in today's time, then how many facilities or difficulties would he have to face in giving the tender for the Taj Mahal in this modern time, this is what is shown in this play. In a humorous tone, the speed of working and the whitewashing of government organizations has been shown in this play.

In the entire event, along with the audience, the judges also enjoyed the presentation to the fullest. Many times the audience rolled with laughter and many times they also became thoughtful. Many times the artists forced them to clap with their performance. The effort of the audience to take selfies with the artists after every play can also be linked to the success of the play. Also, according to the audience, such a presentation in Patna is a different experience.

It is worth noting that 18 teams from different states are participating in this event. In total, about 750 participants are taking part in it. The specialty of this competition is that all the participants taking part in it are government officials and the programs are being presented by them in different genres.
