Congress to Contest Delhi Assembly Elections Independently, No Alliance with AAP
Big news has come out from the country's capital Delhi. There will be no alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in Delhi. Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav said in a conversation with India TV that there is no scope for alliance now.
Let us tell you that even before this Devendra Yadav had said that Congress would fight the upcoming assembly elections alone because its alliance with AAP was only for the Lok Sabha elections. The Delhi Congress Chief had said that after the significant increase in the vote percentage in the results of the Lok Sabha elections, there is new enthusiasm among the workers and the general public. He also said that Congress will perform well in the upcoming assembly elections of Delhi because people are now expecting change.
Addressing the meeting of the officials of Krishna Nagar District Congress Committee in Preet Vihar, Yadav said that the block and district Congress committee meetings at the booth level have activated and refreshed the workers to strengthen the party. In the statement, he had said, "Congress will contest alone in the upcoming elections because the alliance with AAP is only for the Lok Sabha elections."
Let us tell you that the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party had formed an alliance in Delhi for the Lok Sabha elections. Aam Aadmi Party had fielded its candidates on four out of seven seats in Delhi and Congress on three seats. But like 2019, this time also BJP waved the flag of its victory on all seven seats.
