CM Nitish Kumar's Pragati Yatra Brings Historic Development Plans for Purnia Division

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Pragati Yatra has given the gift of historic development plans for Purnia division. During this yatra, several schemes related to industrial development, flood protection, and expansion of educational facilities in Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria and Bhagalpur districts have been announced, which will directly benefit the large population of this region. The main objective of these schemes is to strengthen the industrial infrastructure of the region, provide protection from floods and improve the educational sector, so that the local economy gets a boost and there is a permanent improvement in the lifestyle of the people.
New employment opportunities through industrial development
Under Pragati Yatra, special measures have been taken to accelerate industrial development in various districts of Purnia division. New industrial areas will be built in Katihar and Kishanganj, where small and medium industries will be promoted. Apart from this, special financial assistance and training centers will be opened for startups.
Industrial hubs will be established in Purnia and Bhagalpur, which will generate business and employment opportunities. Necessary infrastructure for various industries will be built in these hubs, which will lead to employment growth and strengthen the local economy.

Gift of medical college and other facilities

The establishment of a medical college was also announced in Araria, which will provide local students with an opportunity to make their career in the medical field. Along with this, a sports ground will also be constructed in Araria, which will provide opportunities to the youth interested in sports. Kishanganj will get an engineering college, which will give students better options in the field of technical education. Apart from this, there is a plan to build a footoverbridge in Kishanganj, which will increase traffic facilities and improve security. The famous Kamakhya temple of Purnia division will now be given the status of a state fair, which will provide better facilities to the devotees visiting this religious place and promote regional tourism.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the government is giving priority to inclusive and sustainable development in every district of Bihar. Through industrial development, embankment construction, and improvement in the educational sector, the social and economic condition of Purnia division will improve comprehensively and Bihar's dream of becoming a self-reliant state will be realized.
More than three crore people of Purnia division will be directly benefited by the effective implementation of these schemes.
