CM Nitish Kumar Urges Swift Completion of Model Hospital at Guru Govind Singh Campus
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today conducted an inspection of the model hospital under construction at the Guru Govind Singh Hospital campus in Patna City, urging officials to expedite the project. The hospital, with a budget of Rs 30.42 crore, is expected to bring significant improvements in healthcare services for the local community.
During the visit, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Mr. Pratyaya Amrit, briefed the Chief Minister on the details of the campus plan using a map. He explained the key features and layout of the upcoming hospital. The Chief Minister instructed that the construction should be completed by February 2025, stressing the importance of having a new nurse hostel built on the campus as well.
Nitish Kumar also emphasized the need to repair the access road leading to Guru Govind Singh Hospital to ensure that patients can reach the facility without any hassle. He highlighted the benefits that the model hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, would bring to the region, allowing for better treatment of various diseases.
In addition to inspecting the construction site, the Chief Minister toured the existing Guru Govind Singh Hospital premises. He interacted with the relatives of patients to check on their well-being and provided instructions to officials to ensure that the hospital’s health services are up to standard.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also took time to visit "Didi Ki Rasoi," a kitchen run by Jeevika sisters within the hospital premises. He spoke with the women managing the kitchen to learn about their operations and ensure that everything was running smoothly.
The inspection was attended by several key officials, including the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Mr. Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Mr. Pratyaya Amrit, and other senior officers such as Mr. Anupam Kumar, Mr. Kumar Ravi, Mr. Gopal Singh, Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajiv Mishra.
