CM Nitish Kumar Unveils ₹1404.84 Crore Development Projects in Patna During Pragati Yatra

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today gave a gift of Rs 1404.84 crore to Patna district from village Top of Daniyawa block in the course of Pragati Yatra. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 623 developmental schemes through remote. These include the inauguration of 387 schemes at a cost of Rs 845.43 crore and the foundation stone laying of 256 schemes at a cost of Rs 559.41 crore.
In the course of Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inaugurated the beautification of Panchayat Government Building in Bedhna Panchayat located in Barh block of Patna district. During this, the Chief Minister also inspected the Panchayat Government Building Bedhna. During the inspection, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Library cum Knowledge Center in the Panchayat Government Building. The officials informed the Chief Minister about the facilities provided in the Panchayat Government Building. The Chief Minister inaugurated the telemedicine facility in the Health and Wellness Center built near Panchayat Government Building, Bedhna. During this, the Chief Minister inspected the Health and Wellness Center Bedhna and took stock of the tele consultant consultation room, child heart beneficiary room etc. He took information from the officials regarding the medical system and other facilities provided at the Health and Wellness Center Bedhna. Instructing the officials, the Chief Minister said that the Health and Wellness Center has started here from today. Take special care that the patients get quick treatment and other medical facilities. We have done development work in every field from the very beginning. A lot of work has also been done in the field of health so that people can get proper medical facilities. Development work is being done continuously in every field. Bihar should move forward, this is our wish.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited the stalls set up by Jeevika Didi and various departments. During the observation, the Chief Minister gave a symbolic cheque of Rs 19 crore 97 lakh for financial assistance to 2498 beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, a symbolic cheque of Rs 17 crore 60 lakh under the financial year 2023-24 (second/third installment) under the Chief Minister's Udyam Yojana, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister's Private Jeevika Didi (Other Species) Nursery Scheme, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister's Disabled Marriage Promotion Scheme, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Scheme, symbolic cheque of Rs 40 crore 69 lakh under Community Investment Fund to various Jeevika Self Help Groups, transfer certificate and key of e-rickshaw under Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, key of community library etc. to the beneficiaries. While talking to the Jeevika sisters, the Chief Minister said that all of you Jeevika sisters are doing very good work. When we were ministers at the Center, we visited many places and saw the work of self-help groups. At that time the number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less. In the year 2005, when our government was formed in Bihar, we decided to expand the self-help groups. For this, in the year 2006, by taking a loan from the World Bank, work was started towards increasing the number of self-help groups in the whole of Bihar. We named the self-help group as Jeevika and the women joining it were called Jeevika Didi. The central government of that time, inspired by our work, started this scheme in the name of Aajeevika across the country. Wherever we go in Bihar, we definitely meet Jeevika Didi. The government is helping you in every way. Whatever problems you have, they are resolved immediately. While giving instructions to the District Magistrate, the Chief Minister said that take special care that Jeevika Didi does not face any kind of problem. Jeevika Didi of Bihar are respectfully invited to programs in different parts of the country. He said that I have been an MP from this area many times. Since then, we keep visiting this area regularly and try our best to meet people and resolve their problems. We want that their work should expand further. Jeevika sisters expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister provided certificates to Jeevika sisters for fish farming for free allocation of Joda Talab, Bedhna West for five years to Jeevika village organizations under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan. The Chief Minister put fish seeds in Joda Talab. During this, the Chief Minister inspected the pond and directed the officials to build a staircase ghat on the banks of Joda Talab. The Chief Minister also distributed e-cycles among the energy champions. Inaugurated and inspected the waste processing unit of Gram Panchayat Bedhna West. The Chief Minister inspected the site for the Dharamshala, marriage hall, staircase ghat on the banks of Ganga, river front development and electric crematorium at Sati Ghat to be built under the proposed civic amenities in Baba Umanath temple complex at Barh. During the site inspection, the officials apprised the Chief Minister of the civic amenities being provided in the Baba Umanath temple complex through the site map and model. During this, the Chief Minister said that the view of the Baba Umanath temple complex and its surroundings is quite picturesque. With the expansion of civic amenities here, people will be able to perform worship and rituals easily. Start this work as soon as possible. The Chief Minister prayed at the Baba Umanath temple and wished for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the state.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the pond, staircase ghat, community health center, playground (basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, running track and long and high jump) in the Higher Secondary School, which were renovated under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan in village Top of Daniyawan block. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister also inspected the community health center and playground. The Chief Minister interacted with the players present in the playground and congratulated and wished them. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone by unveiling the stone plaques related to the developmental schemes under Patna district through remote.
After this, the Chief Minister took stock of the expansion work of JP Gangapath Project (Digha-Sherpur-Bihta) in Sherpur of Maner. During this, the officials gave information to the Chief Minister through a sketch that the length of this project would be 35.65 km and its estimated cost would be Rs 6495.79 crore. The length from Digha to Sadiqpur via Sherpur will be 18 km, which will be an elevated path. The length from Sadiqpur to Bihta (till Koilwar bridge) will be 17.65 km. The officials informed the Chief Minister about the widening and strengthening work of Didarganj-Bakhtiyarpur-Mokma road through a line drawing. The length of this project will be 82.5 km. Under this, 42 km (four lane) road will be built from Didarganj to Athmalgola at a cost of Rs 1103 crore and 42.5 km road will be built from Athmalgola to Mokma at a cost of Rs 250 crore. The Chief Minister told the officials that this is a good plan, complete the work fast.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the upgradation work (length 7.10 m) of the newly constructed Usri Danapur Shivala bypass road at Chhitnawan (NH 30) at a cost of Rs 137.6246 crore by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the stone plaque. After this, the Chief Minister reached Rupaspur Canal and inspected the proposed road construction work with underground drain on both sides of Nehru Path from Saguna Mor to Rupaspur. During this, he gave necessary instructions to the officials. The Chief Minister took stock of the proposed four-lane widening work of Gola Road from Nehru Path. Along with this, he also inspected the proposed plan to connect Patali Path to Nehru Path. The Chief Minister did a field inspection of the proposed four-lane widening work of Rupaspur Canal Path connecting Khagaul Nehru Path-Ashok Rajpath.
The Chief Minister reached Rajiv Nagar located at Ashiana Digha Road and did a field inspection of the proposed four-lane road construction on Rajiv Nagar Nala and Anandpuri Nala. Giving information to the Chief Minister, the officials said that the construction of four-lane road on Rajivnagar Nala and Anandpuri Nala will benefit a population of two lakhs. Its estimated cost will be Rs 180.99 crore and the length will be 4.26 km. The Chief Minister said that with the construction of these roads, people will get more options for transportation in the city. Along with this, local people will also get convenience in commuting. With the construction of all these roads, more options will be available for commuting in and out of Patna city.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed multi-storey hydraulic parking at Mauryalok Complex, Patna at a cost of Rs 28.87 crore by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque and took stock of it.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed two-storey vending market at Kadamkuan at a cost of Rs 903.376 lakh by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister took stock of the vending market. The Chief Minister praised it and said that it has been built very well. With the construction of the market, local vegetable and fruit vendors will have all the facilities for selling under one roof. Also, encroachment from the road will be removed and traffic will become easier.
