CM Nitish Kumar to Launch 'Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak' App for Rural Road Maintenance
The 'Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak' mobile app will be launched by the hands of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar tomorrow on 19th December 2024 at a function located at Sankalp, Patna. This Android based mobile app has been created under the Rural Works Department. Through this app, the general public will now be able to report the poor condition of roads such as potholes, damaged edges, and other problems directly to the concerned officials. The purpose of creating the mobile app is to ensure transparency and accountability in the care and maintenance of roads in the rural areas of the state. This app will be available across the state and will provide a platform for people to easily share road related problems.
This app will provide a list of 63,000 km of rural roads under maintenance in all the blocks of the state. Users can select the road of their block and report potholes or other problems with photos. After registering a complaint through the 'Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak' app, the problem will be resolved by the concerned officer within the stipulated time frame and the status of problem resolution will also be updated through the app. Once the problem is resolved, the concerned officials will again upload the picture of the repair site. This will ensure transparency in the maintenance and upkeep process of rural roads.
This state-of-the-art technology will not only improve the traffic system in rural areas but will also accelerate the development of infrastructure with public participation. This app has been developed to promote direct dialogue between citizens and the government. Users can upload details and pictures of the bad condition of any road on the app. The 'Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak' app will now be available on Google Play Store. By downloading it, citizens can register their complaints and contribute to improving the roads of Bihar.
