CM Nitish Kumar Reviews Progress of Bihar Engineering and Health Sciences Universities in Mithapur

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inspected the under construction Bihar Engineering University and Bihar Health Sciences University in Mithapur. During the inspection, Secretary of Science, Technology and Technical Education Department, Dr. Pratima S. Verma and Secretary of Building Construction Department, Shri Kumar Ravi gave detailed information about the project through sketches. Also, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department, Shri Pratyaya Amrit gave detailed information related to the construction work of Bihar Health Sciences University through presentation and sketches.

It is known that Bihar Engineering University was established on 27 July 2022 by Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar to provide high level technical education to the boys and girls of Bihar and 05 acres of land was allotted in Mithapur, Patna for the construction of its building. The main building will be of 04 floors. Its total built-up area is 1,11,732 square feet. Dean's office, Registrar's office, cafeteria and other offices are being built on its ground floor, Vice Chancellor's office, meeting hall and evaluation center on the first floor. Office rooms, evaluation centre, store room etc. are being constructed on the second floor, 05 archives, store room etc. on the third floor and evaluation centre and 02 large multipurpose halls on the fourth floor. Along with this, 01 guest house is also being constructed in this complex, in which 08 rooms and 04 suite rooms are to be constructed. 01 care taker residence is also being constructed here.

With the aim of providing quality medical education in the state, new building construction work is being done for Bihar Health Science University, established under Saat Nishchay-2 scheme as an ambitious scheme. The total area of ​​the building is 27567 square meters. The project has two parts, the first part is the main university building, whose total area is 12,645 square meters, under which there are administrative cum academic building, examination hall, dispensary, multipurpose stage, waiting room, information center, enrollment branch, Chancellor's room, training cum placement branch etc. and the second part is the annex building, whose total area is 14922 square meters, under which the Vice Chancellor's residence, University Guest House and multipurpose auditorium have been arranged.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that under this project, the construction work of all the structures including the main building, administrative and academic building, examination and evaluation building, auditorium, staff quarters of the university should be done in a better manner and quickly. The construction work should be such that the campus looks good. He said that major educational institutions like Chandragupta Management Institute, Aryabhatta Gyan Vishwavidyalaya, NIFT, Chanakya Law University and

Maulana Mazharul Haq Arabic and Persian University have been built in this area of ​​​​Mithapur. This entire area has become quite good. When the construction work of these two universities is completed, this area will look even better.

Siddharth, Secretary of Science, Technology and Technical Education Department Dr. Pratima S. Verma, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister cum Secretary of Building Construction Department Mr. Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to Chief Minister Mr. Gopal Singh, District Magistrate of Patna Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police of Patna Mr. Rajiv Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Bihar Engineering University Dr. Suresh Kant Verma, Vice Chancellor of Bihar Health University Mr. S.N. Sinha and other senior officers were present.
