CM Nitish Kumar Lays Foundation for ₹1400 Crore Cement Plant in Bihar

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone of the cement grinding unit of Ambuja Concrete North Private Limited in Warisliganj Industrial Area by performing Bhoomi Pujan and unveiling the plaque. On this occasion, the Chief Minister took detailed information regarding the construction work of the industrial area.

The Chief Minister was informed by the representatives of the cement manufacturing company that the cost of setting up this cement plant is about Rs 1400 crore. 6 million tonnes of cement will be produced in this cement plant every year. The Bihar government is providing support for the establishment of this plant, under which 73 acres of land has been given by BIADA (Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority). The availability of cement will become easy with the establishment of this cement plant in the state. Also, with the construction of this cement plant, 250 people will get direct employment (directly) and 1 thousand people will get indirect employment. Bihar is one of the fast developing states in the country. Due to good investment policies in Bihar, investors and industrialists from every corner of the country are expressing their desire to invest in Bihar.

In the coming days, Adani Group has proposed a new investment of Rs 5,500 crore in Bihar, which includes establishment of a new cement plant in Muzaffarpur (Motipur), logistics (warehouse) business around Patna and new agricultural logistics (warehouse) and other works in Araria, Kishanganj, Begusarai. This new investment will provide direct and indirect employment to 40 thousand people of Bihar.

On this occasion, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Dr. Prem Kumar, Industry Minister Mr. Nitish Mishra, Nawada MP Mr. Vivek Thakur along with other public representatives, Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Industry Department Mr. Sandeep Paundrik, Special Officer to Chief Minister Mr. Gopal Singh, Commissioner of Magadh Division Mr. Mayank Barbade, Inspector General of Police of Magadh region Mr. Kshatranil Singh, District Magistrate of Nawada Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Verma, Superintendent of Police of Nawada Mr. Ambrish Rahul, Managing Director of Agro Oil and Gas of Adani Group Mr. Pranav Adani along with other senior officers were present.
